Embarrass River, north of NorthMet tailings dam

If the NorthMet tailings pond should ever fail millions of gallons of sulfuric mining waste would flow north through Trimble Creek directly into the Embarrass River, about two miles north. From there it would flow west and south, until it dumped into St Louis Bay and Lake Superior at Duluth, Minnesota.
