Since 2018, MCEA has been in court challenging the DNR’s decision to issue Dam Safety Permits and a Permit to Mine to PolyMet Mining, because the permits violate Minnesota law and fail to protect downstream communities, and because the DNR has denied important processes to downstream communities.
